LUCKY RASCAL FILMS LIMITED is an independent writer’s agency and producer dedicated to developing, writing and adapting new feature film and television series screenplays. The company was set up in 2017 by Amanda Street.

COMPANY DIRECTOR

Amanda Street has over 25 years experience in the music, television and film industry and it all began working in commercials and music video production at 4D Films, working with artists including Blur, Take That, Glenn Frey, Iron Maiden, Eric Clapton, Frank Zappa, Lulu & Bobby Womack.

During this time she directed, shot and edited a short film of Oliver Reed which was later broadcast on Channel 4 within The Real Oliver Reed documentary.

A stint in Studio Management at MTV Europe then followed rostering crews for their live show Most Wanted.

After MTV, she joined Channel 4 Television and FilmFour Ltd where she worked for 7 years. During this time she worked within the drama commissioning department, documentaries and finally Film Four International.

Documentary production included: Secret Lives, Cutting Edge, Encounters, Undercover Britain, Short Stories, To The Ends Of The Earth and all documentary series. Working with directors such as Nick Broomfield and Errol Morris.

As Film Sales Executive in FilmFour International, she was involved in the sales and marketing of feature films at all the major film festivals and markets.

In 2003, Amanda founded DNA Music Ltd, a music agency that represents composers, providing score equity and music supervision services.

Amanda started writing film treatments over ten years ago but music dominated her life...

In 2015, she decided to write her first feature film screenplay, the thriller MIND'S EYE. The writing bug caught hold and after reading a book by G.P Sirod - THE SCHOOLING OF HOPE BALLINGER AND THE CASE OF THE LOST BOY, she immediately optioned it to adapt to screenplay with the full support and approval of the author G.P Sirod (aka Gloria O'Donoghue).

With further screenplays in the works including the black comedy LUCKY RASCAL which follows the hapless but loveable felon Bob Goodman, MAVERICK a story inspired by the work of the gambling impresario and conservationist John Aspinall, the conspiracy thriller THE CULL (a collaboration with co-creator Darran Bennett) and various other projects in development with other writers under the Lucky Rascal banner… more information to come.
